The Universe Inside by Rebekah Sipe I am nothing and yet I am everything required for life and life abundantly for death and death wholly the full capacity of human experience contained in this sticky skin, this wet material the sinewy strands and the fluid that courses through fragile and delicately sewn fabric within me the touchable, breakable stuffs that miraculously blur together into sensational waking life the tear of pain, rush of excitement, agony of loss, fear, confusion, love the equilibrium of these mechanical wonders that we experience as contentment the mystery of questioning mystery the untouchable, unfathomable deep that chills as with ice within and inexplicably without of longing in search for meaning for reasons these meaningless fibers seem to mean so much the urge to experience that which is beyond ourselves outside of our own confinement outside of the eyes we’re caged in for all of our own conceivable time the voracious desire to share all of this inescapably selfish experience with someone else so confined what is and why does any of this exist and does it exist at all Life right here in me all along in the infant, in the child in the weathered woman already resting inside in the dying that is living every day the aging of that which makes me absorbing, releasing and, wrapped together in the mystery of time, changing.

Loving, accepting and receiving are all qualities of Consciousness, expressing themselves through us, whether male or female. Take notice today of all the ways you love and nurture. Is it primarily through actions, words, thoughts? How is it for you to notice how others express their love for you? How do you feel in your body when you are connected to love?

You'll find videos from the last 3 weeks 'At Home is Well-being" session in their own channel in the Videos (Move) section. Audio meditations of full 35-minute yoga nidra practices appear in the Meditate section on the list entitled "iRest at Home". I've uploaded the 20 minute Loving Kindness meditation below that list.

How about "joy work" , rather than homework? Either way you slice it, here is a practice for you to enjoy outside in nature, or in your home. It doesn't involve a screen....yay! Find two objects that are about 2 -6 feet apart. Sit or stand equidistant from them, forming a triangle between you. For example if you are looking. two trees 6 feet apart, you would be standing 6 feet from each. Set a timer for 10 minutes, or up to 20. Gaze into the space between the two objects. You can blink, but just rest your attention in that space. That's it. Let me know how it goes for you.

Thanks for Deb for sharing this beautiful article on grief. https://hbr.org/2020/03/that-discomfort-youre-feeling-is-grief Times like we are experiencing in the Coved pandemic can be an excellent catalyst to come to know grief and how we can be with it as wisdom, without drowning in it. Are you experiencing grief? Does is show up as spontaneous crying, or a feeling in your body or both.?

It was great to see so many of our community in the live session this morning. . Soon, you will be able to view the videos from all our sessions in this series in a new "channel" in the videos section of your member's area. I'll let you know when it's ready for viewing. We had a good discussion around how it has been for us with the sudden changes due to the Corvid situation. Then we asked the question of ourselves "How we want to be in this time of difficulty?" . "Who do we want to be?" What would that look like, how would it feel?" With crisis. comes a heightened opportunity for growth. Now is the time to set your intentions for how you want to move through this time. This too, shall pass. We'll bring the teachings from today into our full iRest Yoga Nidra practice tomorrow, Thursday at 5pm. Use the same link each day to access the meeting in zoom https://zoom.us/j/7784767113 See you soon!

To view: go to Move (Watch) in your member's area and scroll down to all videos. It's the first one and I'm wearing a very red shirt:) I'll find a better way of easy access for you, but for now I'd love to know if you'd find these daily tid-bits helpful. If you have a name idea for the check in, please do tell.

If you missed the live broadcast of "Find Rest in Any Moment", here is a link to a recording . It is an “unlisted" yoga tube video. Please share the link with your loved ones.  Snuggle in and take a deep, well-needed rest in your inherent sense of well-being, no matter the conditions presenting. Then emerge back into doing what needs to be done for yourself and community, with more vitality, peace and deepened capacity for wise response. In addition to the video of the 1hr:5min session, you will find an audio-only recording of the 35-minute iRest practice in your member’s area. Also I’ve uploaded the video to the   “MOVE, Watch”  section of our community for your convenience. The next "Finding rest in any moment”  will occur this Thursday at 5pm MDT. Click for time zone converter.  Join Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/7784767113 Meeting ID: 778 476 7113 We will begin with a brief introduction, building upon last week's discussion and then settle into a 35-minute iRest Yoga Nidra Practice. You may lay down or sit up comfortably. Use props as needed to be relatively still. You might like a bolster or rolled blanket under your knees, a small pillow for your head and a blanket to over you as your body may cool down during the stillness. After the practice there will be time for Q&A and 15 minutes of discussion. The practice and meeting duration will be 1 hr 15 minutes.  Don’t worry if you are new to online meetings. It’s easy to listen in. Participants will be muted on entry to the meeting, video will be on.. When you wish to speak, you can easily open it from your end. You can also turn off your camera anytime. We need each other more that ever. I'm so grateful for you.

Did you know that the degree of control we have over our lives is directly related to our ability to notice and feel what is going on inside ourselves, otherwise known as interoception? This was said by psychiatrist Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk, the author of “Your Body Keeps the Score.” Even though we might argue that ultimately we are never in control,  our mind is like the rudder and oars that steer our boat in the waters of life. Our own mind can make us happy, or unhappy, can overwhelm us or calm us. Nobody and nothing else can do that for us. Our Yoga Nidra practice time together develops interoception. As a member you can join my little gathering at home on Thursday through an online meeting. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send you an invitation. Otherwise you can catch the recording that I post in this community the next day to "meditations".
